CLEARING BRAIN CLOUD

As a Holistic Nutritionist and Natural Foods Chef I am often asked, “Wendy, what can I take to clear my brain fog.” I simply reply, it is a lifestyle change, we don’t have quick fixes, nor do I suggest band-aid repairs for my clients. Have you been blaming your brain fog on the impacts of COVID, and the lingering side effects? Foggy thinking, can’t figure things out, hard time remembering names and important dates, repeating stories, anxious, feeling blue, moody? Well you are not alone.

Vaccine COVID allergies …PEG is an additive in the Pfizer and Moderna COVID vaccines. Check out Dr. Hong’s case studies. If you had allergies to the 1st dose they recommend not getting the second dose because allergic reaction to PEG, which is also often used as a stool softener (MiraLAX, Cancer drugs, food, cosmetics). They use PEG in the vaccine to make it last longer, and to reduce the interaction with innate immune system in our bodies. 

Taking stimulants such as Ritalin are thought to help clear “brain fog” by increasing the amount of dopamine in the brain and stimulating the central nervous system. This will usually result in increased mental alertness, performance enhancement, and the potential of improved cognition. Have you been diagnosed with Narcolepsy, ADHD or a condition resulting in psychomotor slowing or fatigue? If so, your physician may recommend trying a psychostimulant. They will most likely tell you that these drugs can be highly effective for treating brain fog, but should only be reserved for severe cases that do not improve with alternative forms of intervention. Also keep in mind that when a person stops taking a stimulant, they may experience a “crash” resulting in even worse brain fog. As a Holistic Nutritionist I would never say ditch your RX’s, but you can start to ditch those unhealthy processed foods and bump up natural wholesome fruits and vegetables, including sea vegetable to improve brain fog. Another reason why I prefer to not mask my client’s symptoms with temporary fixes, aka/ band-aid repairs. Between the drug interactions, warnings and precautions I often wonder why people choose this quick fix RX, with such severe side effects.

Distributed by Novartis Pharmaceuticals Ritalin active ingredients are as follows: D&C YELLOW NO. 10 (a synthetic dye produced from petroleum or coal tar sources used as a color additive for contact lenses, foods, medications, tablets, capsules, medical devises, and cosmetics), LACTOSE (a sugar compound found primarily in milk and other dairy products), MAGNESIUM STEARATE (a fine white powder, made up of two stearic acids plus magnesium), POLYETHYLENE GLYCOL (a polyether compound derived from petroleum with many applications, from industrial manufacturing to medicine. PEG is also known as polyethylene oxide or polyoxyethylene, depending on its molecular weight), SUCROSE (derived from sugar and contains chlorine, yes I said CHLORINE! TALC (a natural clay mineral, and when combined with CORN STARCH it is called BABY POWDER also used in many cosmetics) ….ACTIVE INGREDIENT METHYLPHENIDATE HYDROCHLORIDE (METHYLPHENIDATE) with such adverse reactions warnings on the label why would anyone take this? I have never seen a warning label on fruits, and vegetables. Back to decreasing Brain fog…..We start off by asking our clients to keep a 3-day journal including all meals, snacks, liquids and water intake. We DO NOT ask them to calorie, or even carb count. We don’t recommend weighing our food either.

  • Track Sleep Patterns
  • Limit Stress
  • Proper Nutrition: Try Salmon, Nutritional Yeast, Cocoa, Spinach, Celery, Rosemary, Avocado, Turmeric(TIP: Avoid if on blood pressure meds, blood thinners consult with physician) foods which contain C, D, Omega 3-s, and Zinc.
  • Limit Stimulants, such as coffee, tea, alcohol
  • Exercise
  • Meditation
  • Turn off all EMF/WI-FI before sleep, it is easy just UNPLUG!
