Steps to Treating Prediabetes

In my years of family counseling for those that have prediabetes I have seen that they all have one thing in common, that is poor food choices! Not reading ingredients to skipping meals. Even meal replacements that contain nothing but sugar, aka/257 alias names. (Call today for your copy. ) Prediabetes means that your blood sugar level is higher than normal but not yet high enough to be classified as type 2 diabetes.

Hypoglycemia, abnormally low level of blood sugar (glucose), your body’s main energy source is a precursor to prediabetes. Hypoglycemia is associated with the treatment of diabetes. Positive Nutrition advises to keep track of the sugar grams consumed in one day. This will help improve your condition as sugar glucose levels will drop. The aim for weight loss of 5-10% of your current body weight to help prevent diabetes.

For example if your current weight is 200 pounds than 5% of weight is 200 x 0.5 = 10 pounds. 10% of weight 200 x .10 = 20 pounds.

WHO IS AT RISK?

TIPS TO INCREASE PHYSICAL ACTIVITY:

What are your workout rituals? Set a vision, a goal by having a ritual of something that you do daily. Jog, swimming, walk in the park with your kids, a run on the beach with the dog, little things will add up start today! Same time, every day is a great tip that works for many of our clients. When you become disciplined you will no longer feel regret.

Use a pedometer to track those steps! Set goals perhaps 10,000 day.

Walk around your office during every break.

Surround yourself around people that also have same standards, no need to compete with someone with lower standards no couch potatoes here!
